Preschool Team

Laura Goodwin


Laura is a qualified teacher with over 10 years experience of working with young children. With a specialism in Early Years and Key Stage 1 she has taught Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. After having her own children, Laura decided that she would like to go back into Early Years and rediscover her love of working with young children. With a passion for play based learning and the understanding that children make the most progress when they are are fully engaged in following their own interests, Laura has helped to develop the way Great Doddington Preschool delivers the curriculum.


Deputy Manager

Tamsin has 14 years of experience working in Preschools and brings creativity and fun to our setting. She also has NVQ Level 5.


Early Years Practitioner

Charlene has worked in a variety of different settings enjoying working with children because they always bring so much joy and fun to what they do. “I feel proud to be part of their lives and watch them grow and develop into confident people”


Early Years Practitioner

Diane has worked as a Nanny, a childminder for 17 years and more recently as Bank Staff (agency) in various local Nurseries. Diane passionately believes that learning should be fun! She has a NNEB Level 3. “Playing with children in a secure happy environment is key to allowing them to grow and learn.”

Cally is qualified with SENDCo and NVQ Level 3.

Jen is a qualified teacher working with us as an Early Years Practitioner. She enjoys working with the more able children, helping them reach their potential before they move onto school.

Our Management Committee

We are run as a registered charity by a Committee made up of local volunteers. The committee work together to manage the running of the Preschool overall including recruitment, policies, staffing, training and more. The team work closely together to support each other and decide on the overall running of the business. It requires commitment and dedication to each role but is in turn extremely rewarding.

Geny Foster


Geny is a grandparent volunteer who has previously been Managing Director of a large Occupational Health Organisation.  With a background in Human Resources and managing large complex teams, Geny has responsibility for the Charity Trusteeship and the preschool volunteer group.  Her favourite activity in being involved with the preschool are the days when she acts a volunteer helper and gets to spend time with the team and children.

Ellie Kilsby


Ellie is a parent volunteer who has a background in organising and managing live events. She currently works in the office at school and has recently completed her Advanced Bookkeeping exams. She loves the satisfaction of making the figures balance and ensuring that the preschool can run financially. Ellie enjoys being part of the team which works together with the staff to ensure that the pre school can run. It’s wonderful to be able to watch the preschool children benefit from their amazing team and surroundings.

Caroline Foster


Caroline is a parent volunteer who previously worked as a Team Leader in finance, prior to becoming a mum of two. She brings her organisation skills, training, recruitment and management experience to the role and is responsible for organising business information including policies, meetings and communications. Caroline loves the sense of pride you feel when completing voluntary work where you are able to see the positive impact you make to the business, staff, children and their families – that is priceless.

Vacant Position –  Fundraising and Volunteer Lead

Working within our Volunteer Committee Board, leading the Fundraising and Volunteer initiatives and team. Working closely with managers, staff, and parents at Pre-school to organise regular fundraising and volunteer events to raise funds and work to improve the setting for all.


We also have an extended group of volunteer members who manage and run our fundraising events and initiatives. We are always looking for people to get involved so please get in touch or just come along to one of our meetings if you would like to find out more!
